November... Are you kidding me??

Yeah that's right, it is officially November.  Winter is definitely right around the corner, and I became very aware of this when it snowed at the beginning of the week. I am so excited for it to start snowing-- for now, by the time March comes and it's still snowing my tune will probably be a little different. Snow means snowboarding, which is something I have always wanted to do! I've been told I will hate it at first but I just have to "board through the pain," we'll see how that goes.
This week I had my first real job interview at Zumiez. It was a "role play" interview and I was so nervous about it. I didn't sleep for a couple days before, but it was actually really fun. I don't think I got the job, since about 50 people applied for 1 position, but I had a good time and I met some pretty cool guys. I guess I'm a little relieved I didn't get it because I'll really be able to enjoy my first Utah winter without a job getting in the way. Needless to say I won't be applying for anymore jobs anytime soon.
Okay so now for the real reason I started this post. I have been meaning to put up before and after pictures of my apartment  for a while now, so here goes.

It's finally fall!!

Fall is my favorite especially here in Logan. Here are some pictures from the past month.

I went to my first hockey game, and decided I have a thing for hockey players. Who knew.

Sometimes our adventures get a little risky... I believe 3 man long boarding down Old Main would be considered one of those times. :)

Is this real life??

I've been in Logan for 3 weeks now and for some reason I still feel like I'm at camp. I'm just waiting for the day I pack my stuff up and go back to Alabama. It's a weird feeling, but I know soon Logan will feel like home. I'm still a little confused as to where home is exactly. I thought moving out here was going to clear all that up for me, but I'm still as lost as ever when it comes to that. Someone brought to my attention recently how weird it is that I have an Alabama license and phone number, Wyoming tags, and a Utah address. I told him it was the story of my life, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
Tonight I am at my home in Kemmerer. Tomorrow my mom, dad, and I are going to Fort Collins, Colorado to visit Annie. I am so excited! It's a very nice surprise for her to be making a random trip out west, so I'm taking the day off school (reluctantly, of course). :)

I'm an Aggie! I just wish I knew what that was.

Well school has officially started and I'm loving it... so far. I'm still adjusting to the altitude, the walk to school every morning it brutal!! Yesterday (Tuesday) was my first social work class and I know this is what I want to do. I enjoyed the class and left knowing that I was in the right place. As far as my other classes... they are ok I suppose. I'm super not happy about having to take math 0900. I was completely finished with math when I left Shelton, but what can you do. My apartment is not quite home but I like it, and my roommate is great. I think its going to be a great year. We shall see.

And the adventure begins..

Three days ago I said good-bye to life in Alabama. While it was certainly one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do, I know it was right. As sad as it was for me to leave the people and places I have become so comfortable with over the past 12 years I can't help but be excited for what is about to happen. I have no idea what to expect when I move to Logan, but I know that God is about to rock my world and I can't wait! My faith is going to be tested living in a Mormon community, but I know that my relationship with my Creator will be stronger than ever as I put all my trust in Him. Here goes.
